Many major projects are underway and much is being accomplished in the Pisgah this summer, with the help of TPC and hard-working local groups like SORBA, Carolina Mountain Club and the Backcountry Horsemen. At Pisgah Pride Day, many of you asked, "How can I help? I'd love to volunteer on a regular basis!" Well, mark your calendars, and dust off your work gloves, because this month we will begin hosting TPC Volunteer Workdays in the Pisgah!
Our first workday is Thursday, July 25. We will meet at the Ranger Station at 9am and continue the Exercise Trail turnpiking work that was begun on Pisgah Pride Day. We will do bridge maintenance, trail brushing work, and we'll also be tackling invasive Multiflora Rose along the Exercise and Andy Cove trails. In addition to that, we plan to finish up the mulch work in the native wildflower gardens around the Ranger Station. There will be tasks for all skill and stamina levels -- something for everyone! Come on out and have some fun, get a little exercise, and embrace these new opportunities to show your pride for Pisgah throughout the year! See below for full details.
